Bron-freaking-chitis.

Wonderful.  The week of parent conferences.  Perfect timing, really.

I've been sick since the Garth Brook's Concert, which was...January 25th.  Nothing major.  Just lots of coughing, stuffy nose, congestion, off and on.  Monday through Thursday, I'm okay, come home Friday a little under-the-weather, rest it off over the weekend and back to the grind Monday.

Only this last Friday I barely drove home before collapsing into a feverish spell on my bed, shaking even though it was like, 80 degrees outside.  Slept all night, stayed in bed all day Saturday, and still Sunday morning I was not better.  Damon forced me to go to Urgent Care on Sunday and thank the Lord he did because who knew I had let my wee little cold develop into ugly head-rearing bronCHITIS.

So yeah, I went to work today because....I dunno, I'm stupid?  I'm feeling better and worse at the same time.  Better because now I have no crazy fevers, no weakness, no dizzy spells.  Worse because I am now pretty sure that I am allergic to the antibiotic they have prescribed and am having....unsettling....digestive problems.  Yes.  Not pleasant.

You know what is pleasant, though?  Hubby.  What a trooper.  He cleaned the entire house for me, waited on me hand and foot, held my hair while I....visited the sink, changed me when I was too tired to move, dried my hair after I washed it, cut my fruit, drove me to the doctor, etc.  He went in early to work so that he could come home and take care of me.  :*)  So sweet.

I really adore him.

in case you haven't tried it...you should eat yogurt if you are on antibiotics and have digestive issues.

antibiotics kill all bacteria in your body (including the ones in your stomach that help break down food) so supposedly eating yogurt will help restore some of them...
