Rant
People have been pissing me off a lot lately. Am I crabby in my old age or am I just more aware of people taking advantage of situations and, oh, I dunno, ME? Since when do I have TREAT ME LIKE CRAP on my forehead? Whatever. I'm sick of it. 2009 should be my year of not caring. I won't care about being respectful to poopheads. Yes, that's right. Poopheads.
Know what else stinks? Drinking water. I made it my resolution to start drinking my daily intake of water but dude, I am peeing every FIVE MINUTES! Why is drinking water so important, anyway? It's a detriment to my teaching, I've got to say. If I worked in an office building it'd be cool, but when I have to rush out on 25 kids every time I need to ease the pressure on my bladder, it's a bit of a hassle. I dunno how long this is going to let up. I hope I get some positive results from it, though. Oops...TMI?

man oh man! when i started drinking the recommended amount of water (take your weight in pounds, divide in half, that's the number of ounces you should be drinking!) i started having to pee every half-hour or so...and it made me wonder how teachers managed to deal with having to pee and teaching a class at the same time! that's madd insanity dude.
oh yeah but in general i do feel better on days that i drink lots of water. plus i think it's contributed to my skin clearing up (it's gotten 1000x better over the past 2-3 years). my only issue is having to pee during important meetings and having to wake up in the middle of the night to pee :P
okay...now I have to go pee.
you won't necessarily notice a night-day type of difference.
as far as the drinking/peeing correlation, your body will get used to the increased water intake after a week or two. btw apparently if you are going about once an hour then that is enough water.
when i first increased my water intake i think i lost about 10 pounds the first two weeks. who knew how much water your body stores when you don't drink enough??
pee once an hour?? that's a lot of pee.
i'm just under the weight/2 in ounces requirement. it is getting easier and easier, though.
here's hoping i get the happy feelings and clearer skin soon :)
i love how this topic actually generated more than 2 comments :)
ahahah well i did leave 2 (well, 3 now) consecutive comments!
i think i read somewhere that the body can process maybe 8oz of water/hr (more if you're exercising).
i think what april does (she drinks lots of water!) is just carry a water bottle around all day. i think that prob helps.
did Ape lose weight too because of all that water?
