Vomit 2

Child from aforementioned Monday post did not come to school yesterday. He came back today.

Two hours after class had started he vomited again.

Now I'm coughing and hacking away as well.

Gotta love it.

Not for the weak stomached.

Today was going remarkably well with the kids until after lunch time.

One of the kids whom I've mentioned before went to the bathroom. Apparently he still hasn't gotten over his fear of his bottom because I found him sitting on the toilet crying.

Then he threw up.

I am so grossed out. So so SOOOO grossed out. *blech*

I'm Supposed to Love This Job.

It's weeks like these that make me wonder if I'll be able to make it past a second year. It's no wonder the turnover rate for teaching is so high -- I think 60% of teachers quit after two years.

I put SO MUCH into this job. Ten hour days, minimum. Money, sweat, blood and tears. Oh, the tears.

To have someone tell me that I'm incompetent, that I'm not doing my job, is friggin' BULL. I know I'm not perfect. I'm LEARNING. But don't tell me that I am not teaching these kids. Don't tell me that I'm not doing my job. I'm going BEYOND.

Underappreciated. No wonder people quit.

You know you've been on an amusement park ride too many times when:

you can look at the camera and know when to smile.

Damn it. I lost again.

That's B.S.

Today was the second time in a month that one of my boys asked me to wipe them clean after they went "Number 2."

Seriously? You are almost FIVE YEARS OLD. You are in school 6.5 hours a day. You had better learn to wipe your own butt!

Unless you have a medical problem or something, that is so NOT in my contract.

Parents, please teach your children how to use the bathroom -- ENTIRELY.
