Finally.

The long-awaited last day of the year was today. Thank the Lord, I made it, survived, and even did a semi-good job teaching those kids on my own.

I'll leave reflections for a later time because I am sleep-deprived and exhausted from all the last minute things I did this week but suffice it to say, I am HAPPIER than I have been in a long time. What a huge weight off my shoulders. Literally.

Inservice day is tomorrow and the 2008-2009 school year will officially be behind me. My pink slip was rescinded so now I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that I can stay at my school. So much to be thankful for today!

Three wishes granted...?

Stress over -- Open House is officially done and I can have fun with the kiddies from now until the end.

Hubby brought home a bouquet of yellow tulips and pink hyacinth today, just because. :)

I had a soy latte on Sunday.

Hopefully that job security part is coming this week.....

Wish

Things on my wishlist for the moment --

- school (and therefore my current source of stress and anger) to be over.
- job security
- a vacation -- preferably Japan, Hawaii, or anywhere else relaxing
- a mini-shopping spree
- a pair of red shoes
- a bouquet of yellow tulips
- a house
- a tall soy latte
- Roy's chocolate lava cake

Boo.

Not to be a Debby Downer, but I cannot WAIT for school to be over. I am literally counting down the days and getting up every morning and going is like pure torture. I've just had it with the whole situation, I've had it with the lack of support, the kids are getting worse every day and I'm sick and TIRED of it all.

Open House is next Tuesday and after that I can relax a bit. This week will be busy -- Damon and I are hosting Easter on Sunday, I'm getting stuff ready at school, and still nursing myself back to health after a pretty awful bout with a cold over the weekend. Where or where is May???
