Burning out...

I'm reallly tired lately. I don't know what it is. Wait, yes I do. My school year is coming to an end and I am ready for a vacay, dudes! This has been a looooong, difficult year. School-wise. And just exhausting in all other ways -- planning a wedding, setting up house, creating a new life. That takes a lot of energy!

Luckily it looks like I'm starting to make a decent dent in all of my boxes and the house is getting into shape.

Who wants to come over? :)

ch-ch-ch-chaaaanges....

I stopped by the Social Security office today to change my name and make this all official. So I am now Sara Middle Name Hubby's Last Name.

I've still got a TON of forms and agencies that I have to change my name with, but I'm already feeling nostalgic for my old last name. :P I am a dork.

Tough Times

It is such a difficult time to be getting into teaching. Two years ago it took me 6 months to find a job. This year it looks like I'll be displaced to another school, thanks to our lovely Governor.

I don't understand who in their right mind would cut money from schools. We're suffering as it is and California is at the bottom of the list in terms of money spent on students.

The thing is, I love LOVE LOVE my school. The teachers and staff there are awesome, and it's such a great place for me to learn and grow as a professional. It is such a disappointment to think that I may be losing this opportunity simply because some hard-headed politician doesn't take the field of education seriously.

I am dreading the next two months. Time to bust out the resume and hope for the best :(
